Wheal Alice

wheal-Alice

Another view of Wheal Alice with Trink Hill in the background and sheep grazing. The track you can see at the back is where the dairy herd come and go to the dairy for milking. I’ll show you them soon as it is quite a sight!

  1. Wheal Alice looks like becoming your Tish’s Wenlock windmill! If you can make sense of that. You’re making it a lovely focal point for exploring your new world. The photo is beautifully layered, with cow tracks and tree tracks intersecting that fertile green, and then that rocky hillside in the distance.

I’ll get closer one day. Tried a sunset photo yesterday but not sure it worked.

  2. Such a beautiful view, Jude. Reminds me of ‘Sheep may safely graze’. 🙂

Wheal Alice looks most appealing, and am looking forward to some closer images, Jude! But would that mean Jude the Trespasser?! 😳

Wouldn’t have thought so, it is right on the corner of the lanes so I can get quite close to it. Found another one nearby too, but didn’t have a camera with me. I will be back…

Almost a Welsh green around here 😀

  7. I love this one but I can’t wait for the cow shot. I had to go and google “wheal”. I now feel further enlightened. Thank you. 🙂

The West Country in a photograph, Jude. If only the mine was still working, little would have changed in centuries.
    Regards as always, Pete. x

  9. I keep expecting Ross and Demelza to appear in your beautiful photos, Jude.

They do film close to this part of the county, but not here. The right landscape 🙂

Apart from the very old mine ruins that could be a photo of NZ, it is so green. I Googled Wheal Alice and you may be interested to know this post was the 4th entry on Google’s list…

I guess not much has been written about ‘her’ then 😀
