South Wheal Frances


South Wheal Frances was part of the Bassett Mines which worked the Great Flat Lode. There are still some impressive buildings on the site.

      Unfortunately the stench of dog poo stopped me exploring further. There is a mineways trail here, but it really needs some TLC to make it attractive to visitors.
