I might manage another post for this challenge – Trencrom Hill is beckoning.

  3. beetleypete says:

Nice one, Jude. That rock has seen some action over the centuries.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

  4. Tish Farrell says:

Utterly elemental, Jude. All that trapped swirling and whirling that earth once got up to.

    1. Heyjude says:

So many photos I could use for this one Tish!

  5. There’s beauty in those rocks – all that alchemy and melding of forces.

    1. Heyjude says:

Indeed. Years when we were once attached to the mainland and near the equator! I wish I had studied geology, it must be a fascinating subject.

  6. Aha! Absolutely my kind of photo. My geology isn’t much beyond the level of this from a brochure collected in my recent travels: “The geological history is mysterious … many years ago the fertile soils arrived.”

    1. Heyjude says:

      Glad you like it 🙂

    2. Lucid Gypsy says:

As soon as I saw this I knew you’d love it, as I do too! Nice one Jude 🙂

      1. Heyjude says:

        Thank you both 🙂

  7. Emily Wahl says:

I find the beauty of geology one of the hardest things to capture with a camera. Well done!

    1. Heyjude says:

      Thank you Emily 🙂

  8. I love all that texture and the layers and striations 🙂

  9. Robyn Haynes says:

Wonderful colours and textures. Nature is such an artist.

  10. These rocks look similar to some I saw in New Zealand. I guess that’s because the British colonized New Zealand.

    1. Heyjude says:

      Haha… that must be it!

  11. Elizabeth says:

We come home from all our travels with pockets full of rocks. Yours look worth pocketing too.

I like a like, but I love a chat
