All I have time for at the moment!

Ah, but is he making good progress? 🙂 🙂 We spent yesterday afternoon at an animal farm with a small boy. The bigger boy had fun too 🙂 🙂

        1. Heyjude says:

He’s eating well and walking about 3 miles a day! I can’t keep up with him!

        2. restlessjo says:

          That’s good news 🙂 🙂

        3. Heyjude says:

When are you off to Shropshire then? Enjoy! It is a delightful county and you MUST visit Ludlow. I insist!!!!!!!!!

        4. restlessjo says:

Heading down into the rain this morning. 🙂 🙂 I doubt very much we will. I have nice memories and I certainly don’t need another post of Ludlow. Can’t possibly compete with you, and most of all because you’re NOT there 🙂 🙂

        5. Heyjude says:

Sigh…. some nice pics from Cardingmill Valley perhaps? Have fun meeting Tish 🙂

Hi earlybird! 🙂 I’m hoping the weather behaves itself tomorrow. Today’s forecast isn’t good but by the time we get there… we’ll pootle round Church Stretton and see 🙂 🙂

        7. Heyjude says:

Enjoy your pootle. I have never wandered around CS itself. A bit damp here too, though I don’t think it is raining at the minute.

        8. restlessjo says:

We’re supposed to head into it- lucky us! 🙂 Apparently Tish has a sister with an interesting shop there and there’s an antiques centre so if we need a dry spell. 🙂 Seeing Tish and Graham tomorrow night for supper. Nervously excited, as ever, but she seems such a lovely lady.

        9. Heyjude says:

How long are you down there for?

        10. restlessjo says:

Back Wednesday eve 🙂 🙂 Take care! I’m just doing a couple of comments on Bolton Abbey then I’m off!

Pink and green go so well together. A nice cheerful and colourful image, Jude.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

    1. Heyjude says:

Thank you Pete. I intended to try and find more wild flowers this year, but life is full of good intentions!

  3. Dina says:

Aha, die Gemeine Grasnelke is called thrift in English! 🙂 Well done, Jude.
I must admit, didn’t know and had to look it up. Love learning new words.
    Wishing you a great weekend,
    Dina & co

    1. Heyjude says:

You too. A bit gloomy down this end of the country today.

  4. What a cheery photo to brighten my Saturday in gloomy Virginia. I hope all is well, Jude. 🙂

    1. Heyjude says:

All going good Cathy, thank you. When did you get back home?

      1. Hi Jude, I just got back home on Tuesday, August 8. My sleep is really messed up right now; on Saturday and Sunday, I napped 5 hours during each day. Needless to say, that messed up my nighttime sleeping! I need to get on a regular schedule soon. It’s exhausting. I also keep having dreams that I need to get somewhere. I’m always waking up thinking I have to catch a train or a cable car or an airplane! I guess that’s what I get for never taking a rest over the last 4 months. 🙂

        1. Heyjude says:

Well now you can take a rest for as long as you want 🙂 Any plans?

        2. Just a plan to go to Hungary, Austria and Czech Republic in late September – early October. Plane tickets bought but we haven’t reserved anything else yet. 😊 How about you? Anything interesting in the works?

  5. Lucid Gypsy says:

Taken a couple of months ago? Who would have thought those months would be as they have.

    1. Lucid Gypsy says:

So glad to hear how well he’s mending!

  6. Elizabeth says:

I think we call these “pinks.” Lovely no matter the name.

    1. Heyjude says:

We call dianthus / carnations ‘pinks’ but this species is Armeria maritima, commonly known as thrift, sea thrift or sea pink. So we are both right 🙂

  7. Su Leslie says:

Lovely cheerful shot. Good to hear your boy is on the mend.

  8. Sue says:

Oh, my! Thrift….takes me back to cliff walks…. A long time ago….

Have something to say?
