On the Lizard

Although these photos were taken a week ago, I thought they would be nice to feature on the longest day of the year for all of us in the northern hemisphere. The Lizard peninsula is a very special region of mainland Britain with diverse flora and fauna and as you can see from these images, a very beautiful place too.

Gorgeous colours Jude and we have just had our shortest day, now heading toward the heat of summer…

Why is it that your winter seems to last half as long as ours? I guess you really only have two seasons – wet and dry!

This is amazing scenery. The variety and contrast in color is astounding.

The rocks are also an amazing colour – turquoise and purples.

It really is Pit. The colours of the sea down here are breathtaking at time.

More to explore down that way, but I may have to leave it until September now, gets stupidly busy on the roads and car parks are full in summer.
