Blue July | Day 18

Throughout the month of July, Becky (Queen of the Squares) is feeling blue. Ideal for me to showcase the most dominant colour of Cornwall in all its guises.

  2. BeckyB says:

oh wow these are so much softer, you’ve made me feel really good now about one I have coming up next week . . was worried it was not blue enough but now I have seen this gorgeous shade it is going to fit in beautifully πŸ™‚

    1. Heyjude says:

So many blues Becky! Although I am now thinking maybe this should have been powder blue!

      1. BeckyB says:

        power blue . . hmm yes that’s a good description πŸ™‚

        1. Heyjude says:

No worries, I have a powder blue one coming up… πŸ™‚

        2. BeckyB says:

I have just commented on your photo today and it seems to have disappeared – can you see if I am in Spam jail and if so, rescue me? Please?

        4. BeckyB says:

You have been duly rescued . . you were in good company as Jo had ended up there too this morning!

        5. Heyjude says:

Well I am sure the pair of us had a good natter whilst in Spam jail πŸ˜‚

        6. BeckyB says:

          knowing you two, yes!!!!

  3. Sue says:

Ah, we’re going softer! I’m interested to see if you have duck egg blue, Jude!

    1. Heyjude says:

Do you know, I don’t think I do! And that’s a shame as I love duck egg blue!

      1. Sue says:

So do I, once had a lovely silk dress in that colour….

        1. Heyjude says:

I had a favourite pencil skirt! It was my ‘have I put on weight’ skirt. Such a fab colour.

        2. Sue says:

          Ah, memories….

  4. Colline says:

    The flowers are so pretty.

    1. Heyjude says:

      Sweet-scented too!

  5. Very clever – pretty blue squares (and pretty flowers) in your square photo. πŸ˜‰

    1. Heyjude says:

I think this was in the garden with the lovely blue gate.

  6. My favourite colour combo – blue and white.

    1. Heyjude says:

Look very peaceful together. My last year’s white bed had blues in it too, though they weren’t in flower much then. I might recreate that next year now I have some idea of what I am doing!!

    1. Heyjude says:

Erysimum – perennial wallflowers I think. Also scented like phlox.

    1. Heyjude says:

Yes, a very soft colour. Looks nice with the white.

  7. Lucid Gypsy says:

It’s a gorgeous colour, one I wish I could wear!

    1. Heyjude says:

Too pale for you? I can wear blues in most shades (I have blue-grey eyes), but prefer a darker colour usually like denim blue.

      1. Lucid Gypsy says:

Near navy works for me, but I should be a lot more bold than I am.

        1. Heyjude says:

I see you in bold colours.
