oh this is gorgeous . . . .is this in your garden?
No, this one is across the road. A neighbour has one in their garden though so I might help myself to some seeds… mindst you, this is the very very tall one so take up a LOT of room!
Lovely, Jude. Fills that square very nicely. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Worryingly that there were no bees in the photo, it is usually covered in them.
I bought one of these, after Fraggle recommended them.

Good idea! I have loads of bee and butterfly plants in my garden, just not so many bees this year so far. I wonder if the cold, wet June has anything to do with it?
My cousin keeps honey bees in Essex. She tells me that half of them have died of a ‘mystery’ virus, and many others are being killed by the Asian Hornet.
Can’t like this comment. That’s not good Pete.
Worrying indeed. But a hot summer might help.
Lovely, Jude…but is it blue?!!
Lavender blue? From a distance it definitely looks blue, close-up you see more of the pink and lilac shades. Becky was OK with it though, and it is at least square 🟦🟪😁
Oh, I wasn’t having a go! Lavender blue will do!
I didn’t think you were, but I also thought I was pushing it a bit with the colour 😀
😊😊
Or bluebottles? 😆😆 How’s the young un doing?
No flies on this one! He’s doing much better. Hopes to be out – again – on Thursday.
That’s great! Happy to be able to say ‘told you so’ 🙂 🙂
Definitely blue(ish)! Having a quick gallop through to catch up.
That’s beautiful. I was going to ask, but I see it’s not from your own garden. Anything we do to help the bees and butterflies is a good thing.
Have you seen these plants? They grow very tall! There are smaller versions that would suit my garden better.
Gorgeous hues, Jude. I love your composition with the leaves. 🙂
